So, when I had a ten-day vacation to Borneo, I really didn’t know what the hell I should do. My phone helped me a lot to stay in-contact with the city lights though (laughs) but anyway, I brought my 3DS and it was a live savior. I haven’t tried any 3D games yet—I usually play ordinary DS games—which are still fun (mostly), anyway.

Anyway, because I was on a roll, I managed to beat the game in about eleven hours—or six—but I’m sure you guys could finish it faster than I do, considering I AFK a lot while playing. But anyway, it’s your normal dungeon-adventure, killing monsters type of game.

So basically, it’s a very simple dungeon crawling game. Like, really. You don’t think, you just… go.
(why they put the gate guardian on the game cover is… unfathomable. probably to look convincing.)
Anyway, this game has simplistic plot and game mechanism. At the start of the game, you’ll be asked a few questions about yourself—and admittedly, until now I still don’t get what their correlation to the story is—but anyway, you get to choose your character and their colors. There are two guys two girls; you pick.

So the game starts with the Queen telling you to help her kill demons/monsters that was trying to break the Abyss Gate (which has been kept close by her for years!! wow!!). You’ve nothing at first, so she gave you “Soul Stealer” (the name, iirc) skill if I remember correctly. With this, you can ‘steal’ the soul of the monsters and gain their skills! (also, distribute status points—you’ll only need STR/AGI/VIT anyway unless you wanna go mage build—which is p good if you could play it correctly)

The game controls are probably you mostly spamming A to attack lol (or x or z or b to spam one skill). There’s no guard here if I’m not wrong, but there are lots of skills. For killing boss easily, just go and get the spear thrust skill and throw tomahawk. They deal lotsa damage and you can win easily without a scratch lolololol
The catch in the weapon shop is that you really don’t have to buy anything lol. Though the queen gave you awful lot of money (with more sum each time you kill a boss), just buy potions with it (you’ll need it A LOT). The bosses drops the weapon that is currently the strongest in the weapon shop so there you have it. Though there are bow, rod, sword, axe, and spear so if you want to buy weapons then its ok. I just thought it’s a waste lol I once bought something and when I killed a boss with it, they dropped it and I’m just “why this”.

So anyway, the game has 8 dungeons, each with different elements and 5 stages. As you proceed, the dungeon grew larger and larger and you probably have to turn around a few times and… that’s really time consuming. Though the game itself is really light and easy, you might want it just for the giggles lol.

the game scored awfully though, no questions about that since this game IS pretty lacking in general lmao

By the way, on the town apparently you can talk to other people (six people) and their story progresses I DON'T GET THIS WHY THIS?? WE BARELY GET ANYTHING ABOUT THE PROTAGONIST AND THE VILLAGE PEOPLE GET THEIR OWN STORY OH MY GOD. Also you probably want to go there over and over again so you would understand the whole story in this unfathomable storyline game lol

Summon Night: Twin Age | More like Disappoint Night.

So recently I just realized I had other Summon Night games in my computer. Yeah, the Swordcraft 1&2 NDS remake and the Summon Night: Twin Age. Since the 1&2 remake doesn't appeal to me as much (GBA oldschools will always be the best, period), I decided to play Twin Age.

It's pretty disappointing ｡◕ ‿ ◕｡

Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2 (サモンナイト クラフトソード物語2) review?

Recently, I've been playing this game seriously; after finishing the first game, I was quite curious to see what kind of things Banpresto had in store for the other games. As the easiest to get was Swordcraft Story 2 (pre-remake, indeed, that means it's the one for GBA), I decided to try my hands on it.

Unfortunately, I got more than what I had hoped; a lot of moe ikemens and major heartaches, amongst everything else.
